Professor Madyun received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College before earning his masters and doctorate from the University of Minnesota. He is currently exploring how social networks and relationships with friends, neighbors and parents impact educational disparities and the achievement gap for African American students like himself. Na’im is involved with the Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center (UROC) as well as a new faculty cohort within CEHD to study the responsibility of a university in engaging with the community.
